His Arms Kenya (Kenya Mission Team)

The “His Arms Kenya Orphan Project” is based on Mark 10:16 “And He took HIS children in HIS arms and put HIS hands on them and blessed them.” As it list on our webpage, we reach out with His love, to the hurting in Western Kenya. We aim to prayerfully follow the Lord’s directions in reaching out to the hurting children orphaned in the rural Maseno area of Kenya. We prayerfully strive to maintain high standards of credibility in the operations of this program both in the USA and Kenya. And It is our ultimate goal that these precious children we work with, may experience and feel the Lord’s presence in their life by experiencing our sponsors loving support.

We regularly escort teams to Kenya for short term Mission trips. Plus, we encourage the sponsorship of the individual orphaned children in private homes in Western Kenya by USA sponsorships.  Then we hope children get an education in the areas we work with so that they may make efforts to get out of extreme poverty they currently live in.

Our Mission teams meet prior to leaving for Kenya and plan for their projects while there. They utilize the talents of the travelers and may include teaching, medical visits, home visits, craft time and VBS activities for our His Arms children and various activities.  At any time our USA director Nancy Rowe (ndrowes@yahoo.com) can be contacted to gather more information about sponsorship of an orphan or to be a traveler on an upcoming team.

We are continually looking for sponsors for our children, or for those who wish to help the children pay for their education in primary or secondary school. Plus, at all times, we are looking for fundraiser volunteers for funds to keep up all the programs we regularly run for our children and their program including an Emergency Medical Community Project.  We are also in need of medication and supplies for teams to carry in when they travel.

When a team travels to Kenya, we use our Facebook page as our blog to keep people current on the team while on the ground in Kenya. To follow our blog visit www.facebook.com/HisArmsKenya.
