Since 2005 Peace has been involved in short-term mission trips to Maseno, Kenya. While there the travelers have been involved with large orphan feeds, HIV support groups, Kids Klubs for HIV+ kids, home medical visits, volunteer work at the hospital, agricultural projects, water projects, and most recently helping to set up the His Arms Kenya Orphan Project. They work with their volunteer Kenyan coordinator, Florence Oyosi and continue to get sponsorship and support from USA supporters. The Mission Teams have been sent out lovingly by Peace but have involved other Western Wisconsin church members and more recently ones from Michigan as well. God has blessed this ministry beyond what we ever could have dreamed ourselves.
"We aim to prayerfully follow the Lord's directions in reaching out to the hurting children orphaned in the rural Maseno area of Kenya. We prayerfully strive to maintain high standards of credibility in the operations of this program both in the USA and Kenya. It is our ultimate goal that these precious children we work with may experience and feel the Lord's presence in their lives by experiencing their sponsor’s loving support. May we be His Arms as we connect sponsors in the USA with these struggling Kenyan children." This is the mission statement of His Arms Kenya Orphan Program.
We recently began the Ebenezer Project, which involves donors from the USA purchasing goats, chickens, malaria nets, and mattresses for those having been identified as living in extreme poverty in the Maseno area. The recipient of an animal is asked to give away its first-born to another person in need, and that person is to do the same; in this way we encourage self-sustaining measures. Most recently three teens from Wisconsin have been trying to gather funds to help a needy orphan in the Maseno area attend high school.

We continue to encourage involvement from all members of Peace, whether considering being a traveler on a future trip, agreeing to be a prayer partner for the travelers, volunteering to help fundraise, or helping in numerous other ways.
