There are many ways to become involved with music at Peace Lutheran. We have five choirs plus a traveling worship team.
Celebration Singers: This is our lively adult choir. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 – 8:15 during the school year. We sing about two times a month and have a lot of fun and fellowship. Randvig Norvold is the director.
Ugly Sticks: This is our 8th – 12th grade choir that got its name from the big ugly sticks that Jesus died on. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:15 during the school year. Confirmation students are automatically a part of this ensemble but many students continue on through high school. We enjoy singing contemporary worship songs and share them in worship about once a month. Julie Hanson is the director.
“J” Crew: This is our 5th – 7th grade choir. The J stands for Jesus Crew. We rehearse on Wednesdays from 5:15 – 6:00 during the school year. We enjoy singing and ringing the hand chimes. We sing or ring in church about once a month. Kristen Miller is the director.
Psalm 100 Kids: This is our 1st – 4th grade choir that makes a joyful noise unto the Lord. We rehearse on Wednesdays from 3:30 – 4:15 during the school year. We love singing with actions and instruments and offer our anthems about once a month in worship. Julie Hanson is the director.
God’s Little Children: This is our preschool choir. We rehearse on Wednesdays from 4:00 – 4:30 during the school year. We sing a total of three or four times per year. Kristen Miller is the director.
Our choirs are open to all who want to sing. You do not need to be a member of LOGOS to participate in the youth choirs. Everyone is welcome!
One Step: This is our traveling ministry team made up of 8th – 12th grade students. We lead in worship through contemporary Christian music, skits, readings and prayer. Rehearsals are usually scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. We begin rehearsing in November or December and lead worship services during the months of February – May. Laura Hanson is the director.
