 HOLY COMMUNION is served continuously.  Please follow the directions of the ushers.  All who are baptized and believe in the crucified and risen Lord Jesus Christ are welcome to receive.  The center ring of glasses is grape juice.  Children not receiving communion are encouraged to come forward for a blessing.

BLUE VISITOR/INFO CARDS - are available from the ushers.  They are for visitors who would like information about our church or members who would like to communicate with the office or the pastor.

CONGREGATIONAL FORUMS - We have scheduled forums for the members of Peace Lutheran Church to clarify our partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).  The forums are for disbursing information and allowing for questions from our members and are scheduled for the following dates:

Forum 1 (informational):                                                       Wednesday, August 25 at 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., or

                                                                                               Sunday, August 29 at 9:00 a.m.

Forum 2 (discussion and follow-up):                                     Wednesday, September 22 at 9:00 a.m., or

                                                                                               Sunday, September 26 at 9:00 a.m.

 “BILL” BOARD – At the entrance to the sanctuary is a “bill” board with envelopes on it.  Summers are always harder on the church budget, so we are asking for your help.  Please pick up an envelope, place a check or cash in it for the amount listed, and put it in the offering plate or the drop box outside the office.  This is designed to help us pay some of the ongoing bills we have throughout the summer.  Your help is greatly appreciated!

THRIVENT CHOICE INFORMATION MEETING – At Peace on Tuesday, August 24, 7:00 p.m.  If you are a Thrivent member, please come and find out about this new way Thrivent is allocating funds.  (They are no longer doing “matching” funds - each individual member will get to choose where they would like their dollars to go.) 

READY TO RELAX?  Join us for the Heavenly Harp concert on Thursday, September 2, at 7:00 p.m.  Enjoy inspiring and peaceful music featuring harp and vocals along with wonderful stories of God’s presence and provision. This is a great opportunity to reach out to friends and neighbors, so invite someone to join you. No ticket fees: a free will offering will be accepted. See you there!

THE SILENT AUCTION IS COMING - Think now about what you can donate.  Fresh garden produce? Hand crafts -- knitting, card making, quilts, stained glass, pressed flowers? Homemade jams, jellies, breads, cookies, pies, cakes?  A meal with your family at your home?  Time at your cabin, timeshare, lake home?  Think about what you bought in past years and what you might be able to donate.  Opening day is Sunday, Sept. 19.  Proceeds

this year will go for the elevator so we may complete the classrooms in the lower level of our new building.

We continue to work on repaying the loan of $17,000.00 we borrowed from our Savings in 2009.  We currently owe $6,500.00.  Your offerings are our only source of income for repaying this debt.

COMMUNITY SUPPER DONATIONS - The Community Supper welcomes financial contributions.  Checks can be made out to Tuesday Community Supper and left in the office.
