HOLY COMMUNION is served continuously.  Please follow the directions of the ushers.  All who are baptized and believe in the crucified and risen Lord Jesus Christ are welcome to receive.  The center ring of glasses is grape juice.  Children not receiving communion are encouraged to come forward for a blessing.

BLUE VISITOR/INFO CARDS - are available from the ushers.  They are for visitors who would like information about our church or members who would like to communicate with the office or the pastor.

RUN/WALK for PEACE - Lace up your shoes and join us for a 5K run/walk this coming Saturday, August 7^th, at 9am at Peace.  For more details and registration info, please click on the “Run for Peace” link on the website, www.welcometopeace.org or pick up a registration form in the church entry.  Hope to see you there!

WOMEN of PEACE - We have an opportunity to gather for fellowship for our summer renewal. The WELCA Summer Retreat is Tuesday, August 17^th, at Ezekiel Lutheran in River Falls from 8:30 a.m. - noon. The keynote speaker is the local author of Unexpected Journeys, Michele Hermansen.  There will also be a booth from the Global Made Store located in River Falls.

THRIVENT CHOICE INFORMATION MEETING – here at Peace on Tuesday, August 24, at 7:00 p.m.  If you are a Thrivent member, please come and find out about this new way that Thrivent is allocating funds.  (They are no longer doing “matching” funds - each individual member will get to choose where they would like their dollars to go.)  If you are interested in attending, please let the office know by August 19.

AUGUST SCRIP ORDER - The August deadline for ordering is Sunday, August 8.  Your order will be ready to pick up on August 15.  Simply complete an order form (blank forms are at the Scrip station in the narthex and on the website) and place it in an envelope along with your cash or check.  Place the envelope in the wooden Scrip box located in the middle office or in the black drop box next to the office door.  If you have questions, please contact either Nancy Rowe (715-688-2709) or Sharon Hauschild (715-426-3501).  Thank you!

“BILL” BOARD – At the entrance to the sanctuary is a “bill” board with envelopes on it.  Summers are always harder on the church budget, so we are asking for your help.  Please pick up an envelope, place a check or cash in it for the amount listed, and put it in the offering plate or the drop box outside the office.  This is designed to help us pay some of the ongoing bills we have throughout the summer.  Your help is greatly appreciated!

THE SILENT AUCTION IS COMING UP -  Think ahead about what you can donate.  Fresh garden produce? Hand crafts -- knitting, card making, quilts, stained glass, pressed flowers? Homemade jams, jellies, breads, cookies, pies, cakes?  A meal with your family at your home?  Time at your cabin, timeshare, lake home?  Think about what you bought in past years and what you might be able to donate.  Opening day is Sunday, Sept. 19.

SUMMER YOUTH WORSHIP CONTINUES THRU AUGUST 12 – This is a time of worship, music, and prayer on Thursday nights from 8:00 p.m. to whenever at Peace. There are two weeks left so it’s not too late to see what’s going on!  Check out the facebook group for updates and more information!

WEDNESDAY WORSHIP & POTLUCKS CONTINUE THRU AUGUST 18!  If you are unable to worship on Sunday or just looking for a fellowship opportunity, come Wednesday nights for potluck supper at 6:00 p.m. and Worship at 7:00 p.m.  Bring a dish to pass, plates, silverware, cups, napkins, etc.

We continue to work on repaying the loan of $17,000.00 we borrowed from our Savings in 2009.  We currently owe $8,000.00.  Your offerings are our only source of income for repaying this debt.
